These terms cover two things: using the GuildSelect website, and GuildSelect membership. GuildSelect is operated by Lumatic Labs LLC, a company based in the United States, of 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, USA.
GuildSelect is an invite-only directory of the best-reviewed independent tradespeople in the UK. Reputation is the only credential. A tradesperson is listed only if they have been invited and have agreed.
The Guild Standard. To be invited, a business must meet three tests, taken from public information: a Google rating of at least 4.6 stars, at least 30 Google reviews, and at least three years of trading. We use Google ratings only, never ratings from other directories. The Standard is a factual threshold. It is not a guarantee of the quality, safety or price of any work, and we do not inspect or supervise the work of anyone listed.
Accuracy. Profiles are written from public information and from what members tell us. We take care over them, but we cannot promise that every detail is current at every moment. Ratings and review counts are shown as they stood when we last checked them.
Corrections and reports. Every profile has a "Report this profile" link. Use it, or write to [email protected], if something is wrong, out of date or should not be there. We will look at it promptly and act within 24 hours where a profile needs to come down.
Your use of the site. Please use the site lawfully. Do not copy profiles in bulk, scrape the directory, or use it to send unsolicited marketing to those listed.
Choosing a tradesperson. When you hire someone you hire them, not us. Agree the work, price and guarantees with them directly. GuildSelect is not a party to that contract.
Membership is for businesses that have been invited, have agreed to be listed, and choose to join.
What it includes. The GuildSelect seal on your profile, priority placement in the directory, and your place in a curated group of tradespeople chosen on their reputation.
What it does not include. We do not promise any volume of work, enquiries or revenue. We do not sell leads, and we do not sell member data.
Prices. £29 a month, £249 for a year, or £399 for two years. Prices are in pounds sterling. All prices exclude VAT.
Billing and renewal. You pay in advance through Stripe for the plan you choose. Monthly and annual plans renew automatically at the end of each period at the price then published, unless you cancel first. We will email you before an annual or two-year renewal. The two-year plan renews as a further two-year period unless cancelled.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your member dashboard or by writing to [email protected]. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your membership continues to the end of the period you have paid for, and your profile then returns to the free listing.
Refunds. If you change your mind within 7 days of first joining, we will refund your first payment in full. After that, payments are not refundable. On annual and two-year plans we may, at our discretion, refund the unused full months if you leave. If we end your membership because you no longer meet the Guild Standard or these terms, we refund the unused part of anything you have prepaid.
Permission to publish. By saying "Yes" to your invitation, and by joining, you give us a licence to publish your profile, based on the facts and wording we showed you, and to show your business name, logo, photographs you supply, trade, location and public ratings in the directory for as long as you are listed. You can withdraw that permission and ask us to remove your profile at any time.
Standing in the Guild. We may suspend or end a membership, with notice where we can give it, if a member no longer meets the Guild Standard, gives false information, or behaves in a way that damages the directory or the people who use it. If we end a membership for these reasons, we refund the unused part of any plan paid for in advance.
Removing your listing. You can ask us to remove your profile at any time, whether or not you are a member. See the "Remove my listing" link in the footer of every page. We act within 24 hours.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, we are not liable for the work, conduct or advice of any business listed, or for loss of profit, work or business arising from your use of the directory. For members, our total liability to you arising from membership is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event complained of.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in your local courts. We may update these terms; for members, we will give at least 30 days' notice of any change that matters, and you may cancel if you do not accept it.
